Brief Description:  Canopy frame part 5

Wet sanded and painted the instrument panel. Dust started to accumulate on the paint almost immediately. I knew at that point that I'd be either stripping the paint and primer or sanding the dust out. I had done some woodworking in the shop a few days earlier and I assume there was some residual saw dust in the paint booth. I let the paint booth vent fan run all day to clear it out.

After the panel dried for a few hours I sanded the paint and was able to get the dust out and won’t need to repaint it.

Baked the paint in the oven so that I can put a cleaner coat on top in the next few days.

Adjusted the positioning of the canopy rails to make them symmetrical and parallel. Opened the holes up to #19 and installed #8 screws.

Match drilled the two aft mounting holes for the two rails from the pre drilled holes in the longerons.

Rough cut the aft end of the rails to match the curvature of the fuselage side.
