Brief Description:  Master contactor mounting plate

With the master contactor mounted to the LH side of the aft flange of the battery tray, per the Van's design, there was very little room for the 2 AWG cable which boths the RH lug. I was concerned that there would be strain on the terminal connection and that there was potential for chafing of the cable on the airframe structure.

The fix was to fabricate a plate with bolts to the mounting points on the aft flange of the battery tray and has 1/4 holes for the contactor. The holes are shifted about 3/8" to the left of the ones in the battery tray so the connactor is shifted the the left as well. The plate also raises the contactor about an inch so that the mounting bolts will clear the battery tray. Raising the contactor has the added benefit of allowing more room for the #2 wire bend radius
