Brief Description:  Outside air temperature probe wires

The outside air temperature (OAT) probe wires for the Dynon Skyview system come with connector pins already installed and the instructions say to cut out a section of the wires and re-splice if they're too long. Mine were much too long since the probes are mounted close to the ADAHRS units so I had to cut large sections out.

Laid out the routing of the wires. then cut and solder spliced them one at a time to keep them all the same length. Each of the solder splices was covered with shrink tubing, and then each wire pair was also covered with shrink tubing at the location of the splice. Finally a wire sleeve was installed over all four wires at the splice location which is behind the ADAHRS shelf. Secured the OAT wires in place with Adel clamps and wire ties. Used brass hardware to install the Adel clamps due to the proximity to the ADAHRS
