Brief Description: ADS-B antenna doubler and step cutout cover
Laid out the location of the doubler for the ADS-B receiver antenna and match drilled the #40 holes from the doubler through the lower skin. Drilled the antenna mounting holes through both the doubler and the skin. Dimpled the skin and doubler for 3/32 inch rivets.
Fabricated a cover plate for the hole in the left hand lower skin for the fuselage step which is only used on the RV-8A. The plans call for leaving it open, but I chose to cover it to keep out dust and critters. Plus it might help keep the heat in in the winter. Positioned the cover on the skin and match drilled the skin. Dimpled the skin and doubler.
