I spent many hours sanding over the past few days. I wanted to re-do some interior pieces. I am still having a hard time learning the spray gun and the waterbourne paint. I have also been working on the rudder bottom fairing, which involved even more sanding to get the right fit. You can see in photo 3 the sanding method I used. The sanding sheets came from some spares for my belt sander. Laying them flat on the bench gave me a nice staight edge and a good fit. I have seen that some guys are having trouble with this piece clearing the tailwheel spring. I am glad to be past this part. Not a lot to show for all those hours.
