I built the elevator pushrod this past weekend. I made a mess spraying primer inside the tube. Spraying, turning and tilting to get coverage on the inside. I used the tape method to locate the holes for the rivets. I then bolted the pushrod in and made the initial adjustment. I then started to mount the vertical stab. I cannot seem to find the dimension for mounting the vertical stab in the F12 bulkhead. It appears in the plan that the VS spar sits on top of the tailwheel spring mount. I think there should be some clearance as I have read that some people have had the tail wheel spring hit the bottom of the rudder when landing. I think I will call Van's tomorrow!
