I worked on the F704G bars, back drilling countersinking ect. One of the rivets came out pretty bad and the fix was even worse. I am going to call Van's Monday. I seems like the rivets that are called out are too short. I noticed every one elses looks the same. I think these rivets do not carry any load and they are there to hold the bars in place until the wings are installed and the close tolerance bolts go through the bars. I had to walk away for awhile. I came back and riveted one of the 704D uprights. I just wanted to end the day on a good note.
