I got the new control bracket from Van's. The throttle, mixture ans carb heat cables are installed but not connected. More work on the cowl.the side hinges are drilled. I have lost all pretense of trying to make this thing look good. At this point, I have fit the cowl as best I can and will fix cosmetic gaps later. It turns out that the fit behind the spinner plate is good. However, there is no consideration for engine sag. I have talked to three builders that gapped the cowl for engine sag which never happened. maybe mine will be OK. I will deal with it if it occurs.
