I removed the govener drive and oil line today. The local RV guru had an extra cover plate that he gave me. I had to undo the alternaotor to get the line out. I also had to redo the heat muff as I had misread the directions. The drawing is shown from the bottom up so it makes it look backwards. I got the upper cowl down from storage .and started to fit it. Something was not right! The prop spacer and crush plate were installed and when lining up the cowl, the cowl was too short! Wrong! the prop extension is to long. A quick look at the plans confirmed " all Vans aircraft with FP use a 2 1/4" spacer. Van's sent me the wrong prop! The receipt and packing list are correct but the prop is not. I will call Van's tommorow and tell them they sent the wrong prop 18 months ago.
