Each Aft Side Panel Skin needs 3/4 of inch of edge of skin bent 14 degrees pointing toward the center of the fuselage. This was accomplished by fastening the skin tightly to the table with a 1 by 4 on top and slightly more than 3/4 of inch protruding out off the end of the table. Then using an improvised tool made the day before a bend was applied. We bent a little then tested the angle and bent again until the desired result was achieved.
The bend tool consisted of a 1 by 4 with a table saw cut 3/4 of an inch deep down the center. Then a 30 degree angle on one side of the cut. This angle helps to keep the radius tight.I spent several hours taking off a little material at a time to get this right.
More time was spent making the bend tool than actually making the bend.
