Fitting the Cross Tie Box Assembly together including the Upper Fuselage Tie Strap presented some challenges. To make it all fit and keep the overall width at the outsides of the skin lines at 40" required a notch (approx. 1/8th inch) to be cut out on each side of the Cross Tie Channel and the Upper Web.
I sent an email to Sonex Support and received the following: =============================================================== On 7/19/16 11:01 AM, "Jake LaBello" wrote: I am having difficulty understanding the fit the Upper Fuselage Tie Straps M-SNX-F26-10 (R&L) to VF-SNX-F24-10. I assume you have already attached the –10R and –10L splice plates to the upper longerons as shown on drawing SNX-F25 and are now trying to fit the cross tie box (SNX-F21-01) to the splice plates, as shown on drawing SNX-F21.

The width of the cross tie box can be shortened if necessary to achieve the 40” over-all dimension of the aft fuselage box. Blue Skies.... Also today accomplished the 30 degree bend on both Attach Plates. We had to make a new bending platform out of 2x4s since the bend has a much smaller radius than previous parts we bent.
There are way more parts to bend than I expected!
