A technician from Garmin, Peter. Evaluated the magnetometer placement in the aircraft. We tried the original recommended location in the tail and several other locations in the fuselage. All locations failed. The only location that passed was the right wing tip. Now we have a location but have a problem. The magnetometer will not fit into the wing tip without modifications.
