While trying to temporarily mount the aft control mount with the appropriate AN3-5A bolt , I realized the bolt would not thread into the K1000-03 foward nutplate. I assumed while I match drilled the control mount on top of the nutplates that I damaged the threads So I had my friend scott come down to see if he could re- tap the threads. I came to realize that those nutplates were WRONG , they were K1000-08 the ones used for all the other nutplates. At least it wasn't my fault as these were pre-installed with the quick build kit . I had to pay for new ones from Vans even after I explained ? I used some of the correct ones I had in my inventory and everything fit fine.
