Brief Description:  Cut cowl hinges & rivet fuselage horizontal box to

Cut cowl hinges & rivet fuselage horizontal box top, also bent edges of glare shield. Worked some more on the fuselage splice plates and drilled them for AN525 and AN3 bolts for attaching to the rear fuselage. Riveted the top of the horizontal brace box, did not rivet bottom yet since I need access to the AN525 nuts when attaching the splice plates.

The seat belts for my OneX have mounting holes for AN5 bolts. The instructions are pretty vague for these lap belt attachments. I plan to use AN5 drilled bolts, AN5-6 I think. I plan to machine down the head thickness by about 1/32" so the bolt head will fit under the side skin. I need to make sure the bolt is in place before riveting the sides on and I may need to make a thin wrench to hold the bolt head when attaching the nut. Ssince I will use a castelated nut and cotter pin and I want the seatbelt plate to rotate, I willl not be torqing the nut so probably just a screw driver wedged next to the bolt head will be enough to keep the bolt from rotating when I install the nut.

I mentioned earlier I was using .090 and .060 spacers instead of the .125 spacers provided for the bottom splice plates. After closer inspection, I will be using .090 spacers on both sides. I still have the 4 holes on the bottom splice plates to up drill for AN525 bolts, will then focus on the fuselage front section.
