Brief Description:  Drilled aileron hing to right OB wing

Also discovered the rear attach angles for rib #6, right and left are incorrect and will have to be remade. These came in the angle kit and they are made the same as the drawings but they do not provide proper alignment. The rib flanges for the #6 rib are about 1/8" lower than the trailing spar flanges. The angles will have to be remade with the holes on the flange that attach to the rear spar, moved down 1/8". Will have to increase the flange hight about 9/32" to allow the holes to be moved and provide proper edge clearance for the part. The flange that connects to the rib will also be increased on the lower edge by about 5/32" which will allow a straight bottom edge from the rib flange to the spar flange.

Another disappointment, don't understand why Sonex has not corrected this part and the drawings. Wish they would at least notify builders of the problem so they don't try to use the part in the angle kit and then have to drill it out and make new parts. I'm sure other builders have reported this to Sonex. Also, the aileron short rod main spar passthrough is not located properly. The oval hole needs to be moved about 3/8" or more inbord. It's current position causes the aileron rod to rub against the lower inside edge of the hole and the hole will have to be ground out about 1/8" on the lower inboard edge to provide some clearance. Further back in that same area, the slot in the lower skin for the aileron rod exit does not appear to be in the proper location and the horn on the elevator is also not in the best location. I know other builders have had to grind out the spar passthrough and fiddle with the skin slot and aileron horn using washers and spacers. This is just a lot of unnecessary headaches for the builder, shouldn't be this way.
