Finished the HS: Riveted the skins and fiberglass tips to the HS.
The rivet callout for attaching the fiberglass tips are CCP-42 where as the same type of assembly for the VS had a callout of CCP-44. I think CCP-44 would be the correct callout for the HS fiberglass tip rivets.
Also, the tip ribs on the HS and VS have prepunched skin holes that do not line up with the skin and when eventually updrilled through the skin, fiberglass tip and finally the rib, the holes in the rib are pretty ugly. The prepunched skin holes in the rib are probably not necessary since the fiberglass tip is directly under the skin and the rib is under the fiberglass so you can’t see to line up the rib holes when drilling the skin to the tip and rib. I think the tip ribs should not have any prepunched holes or they should be moved to line up better with the skin holes.
I have sent an email to Sonex support (Kerry) regarding these 2 issues and the previous documented problem with the center ribs requiring a .060 inch shim under the rear angles to make the rib holes line up with the skin holes.
