Installed the #8 nutplates on the top fuselage stringers. Installed AN3 nutplates on the rear tank angle brace. Fit the glare shield onto the fuselage with tank in place. Seems the 1/8" rubber edge guard I installed on the front FW angle is causing the tank to sit a little further back than it should according to the tank filler neck and the tank vent location in the glare shield. For the time being I have removed the rubber edge guard. I may notch the front angle about 1/8" to allow for the re-installation of the edge guard, haven't decided yet. Will have to add another 1/8" layer of rubber on the rear angle brace to make up for the 1/8" edge guard I removed from the front.
I installed all screws in the glar shield sides and front, also installed the flush #6 panel screws. Everything seems to fit pretty well although the tank seems to sit slightly to the right, the filler neck is about 1/8" to the right side of the glare shield hole. The tank straps are completely loose yet the tank is held very snugly and I can't seem to adjust its position once the glare shield is in place. I think if I loosen all the side glare shield screws I should be able to adjust the tank location a bit.
