Brief Description: Started fitting the fuselage together.
Started fitting the fuselage front and rear sections together. Moved fuselage onto custom supports and clecoed sections together. The splice plates between front and back appear to fit fairly well except for the two lower floor plates.The holes in the front stringers appear to be slightly forward of the splice plates but should be OK when drilled up to AN3 size. The forward top right stringer had the two rear predrilled holes about 1/2" too far forward. An obvious manufacturing mistake but I drilled new holes in the correct locations and wll plug up the incorrect ones with solid 3/32" rivets. The side and bottom skins also match up pretty well.
I probably wont get much work done the rest of this week. I'm building at W&C Aircraft Works in Boone, Iowa and they have their annual "RV Day" coming up this Saturday so will be helping get things organized and ready for that. I have my work area pretty well cleaned up so thought I would take a couple pictures of the fuselage with the tank, seat and FW clecoed together and my work area.
