Brief Description: Started installing nutplates on right wing tip
Also checked aileron pushrod clearance through skin slot, the right side requires 1 normal washer between the bearing and the aileron horn to keep the rod centered in the skin slot, the left side required a normal and a thin washer.
Pilot drilled the aileron counter balance fairing to the skin. Will install #6 countersunk nutplates tomorrow. The maximum up deflection with the fairing is 25 degrees from neutral position. Without the fairing it was 27 degrees. I need to look in the plans and find where the recomended deflection values are and I assume there will be stops installed somewhere to limit the movement. Hopefully the recomended up movement is less than 25 degrees.
