Brief Description: Drilled hinges onto Rudder and Elevators
Drilled hinges onto Rudder and Elevators; Also riveted the two root elevator ribs to the control weldment. I measured and insured the hinges on the elevators aligned properly with the hinges on the HS once the two root ribs were riveted to the weldment.
I had hoped to finish the empennage control surfaces today, I have been waiting 5 weeks to receive 4 back ordered XNS-T08-03 ribs. I finally received the back ordered parts yesterday after sending Sonex an email but when I opened the box, the ribs were actually XNS-T08-04 ribs rather than the XNS-T08-03. The original labels on all 4 of the ribs had been labeled over with new part labels indicating they were XNS-T08-03 ribs. I suspect the original labels stated they were XNS-T08-04 which was correct.
Anyway, sent Sonex an email explaining the 4 ribs they sent me were incorrectly labeled. I will send back the incorrect 4 ribs and hopefully Sonex will ship me the correct ribs soon.
