Once the zbrackets were bolted down in place onto the front spar I was able to build the skeleton of the left fuel tank. All the ribs were fluted and the flanges situated to 90 degrees. Everything in the tank is very tight. Then the tank was put into place onto the spar and I used some ratchets to make sure I had a nice tight fit against the outboard leading edge section. Once everyting was perfect and cleoed in I match drilled #19 the holes on the splice plate that mates the two leading edges. These holes will eventually get nutplates and #8 scews. Once this was done I moved to the inboard Zbracket. I match drilled #30 the 5 holes that will attach the inboard tank rib to the rear baffle and onto the zbracket. I removed the outboard leading edge section and repeated the match drilling on the most outboard z bracket. This process will go a lot faster on the right fuel tank. Theres a lot of triple checking going on to make sure everyting is in the right order since I am deviating from the instructions slightly.
