The left and right elevator were built at the same time. They are slightly different in their structure but essentially the same procedures are used to complete each of them. The elevator stiffeners were fabricated out of the stock provided. Again, this is my least favorite part of the entire build. Time consuming and tedious. All the stiffeners were layed out and labeled L and R and into their specific position. The stiffeners were match drilled and E-615PP was match drilled to the left elevator skin. All parts were disassembled, deburred, dimpled and primed. The elevator stiffeners were back riveted to the elevator skins and the E-615PP access panel skeleton was riveted to the left elevator skin. The Trailing edges of the elevators were bent using the same method as the trailing edge of the rudder.
