The R-606PP, 607PP, and 608PP reinforcement plates were clecoed to the R802PP rudder spar. Then the R-717 spacer and the R-716 rudder bottom attach strips were fabricated. This will allow the fiberglass to be attached at the end. R-710 was trimmed per the plans. The rod end hole on R-704 was enlarged using a unibit. R-704, R-405PD, R-710 and R-717 were all clecoed to the rudder spar including the platenuts. The R-703 rib was fluted and inserted into place with clecos. The holes attaching R-703 to the rear spar were match drilled to #30.
After lunch the counterbalance skin was clecoed onto R-703 and all the holes were match drilled. The holes in the R-802PP spar web, the holes that attach R-710 to R405PD and R-704 were all drilled to final size.
