Brief Description:  Tank plate nuts/Access plate plate nuts/ Center se

I spent the day preparing the front wing spar for both wings simultaneously. I thought preparing the front spar would take me a week so I was pretty happy to get as far as I did today. First I fabricated a jig for the tank attach screws. I used a jig to make the holes more round and concentric. This actually turned out a lot better than I was expecting. I used a #30 countersink so that the #8 screws will be flush. To attach the actual plate nut to the spar I used a #40 countersink so that the rivets will be flush on the web of the spar. The same thing was done for the wing access panel plate nuts. There are three access panels on the bottom of each wing. These attach to the forward spar using 4 screws each plate and attach with #6 screws. I also countersunk the aft portion of the spar where two plate nuts will go and will eventually attach to the center section. Before I rivet all the platenuts onto the spar I need to prime all the areas where I removed the gold anodizing. Thats for next time.
