So here's my confession. After bonding the air box to the firewall the first time, came back the next day and saw that it was bonded on out of alignment. I went ahead and cut it off and bonded it on a second time only to find it was still off in one axis. UGH! I couldn't live with it, so I cut it off a second time and decided to spend no less than 3 hours making sure it was aligned correctly in all 3 axis as well as the engine. In fact, this time I mounted the new engine mount, bolted it down and placed the engine up against the rubbers to get it as close as I possible could. It took forever. Finally I bonded the box to the firewall and NOW she sits just right. I then used micro and glass to fix her to the firewall and turtledeck. Later I came back, contoured the lines and brushed on another round of primer as a guide coat. I'd say she's 95% done, so now I have to scratch my head over incorporating the new cowling lines and fit. The next round of primer will be sprayed on and done. Excited to see this one coming to an end.
