I noticed a noise when picking the nose up off the ground and setting it back down on the front wheel like there was a loose bolt or something. I decided to take the cover off the actuator and check for anything out of place. I didn't find anything wrong but I did think it was a good time to add more grease to the gears inside. Not that they were dry, but a little more grease is never a bad thing :) I noticed that the sound is coming from play between the worm gear and pinion. I'm assuming the play is there to absorb machining errors as this is not a "German" made unit. :) I'll be keeping an eye on this and may contact Jack Whilhelmson to see if this is normal.... more later
