Brief Description:  Try completing the LW-Aileron

Desaster ! It seems I wated the whole day for an idiot mistake. Every holes were drilled and every holes were debured, counter sink of the counter weight pipe was completed and dimpling ... so easy .... and then, boom ! I was using my pneumatic rivet squeezer and a few holes on the tip rib where too close of web and the flange ripped .... what was I thinking ?

I stopped to cool down and then got my hard wood out and proceed to make the tip rib shape; the shape and the 2024T3 X 0,040" does not make it easy. Oh yes, I could have order the broken rib from Vans but that would have set me back for a few weeks so I decided to try to make it.

The end result is not bad but fitting it in the already drilled skin is not a simple task. At any rate, I stopped earlier because I was still quite upset ! I was planning to start the flaps next weekend but now we will see when I am all done how much more time I will need.

If you wonder why there is a little 90 degree angle against the web and the pipe, it serves to locate the rib in the corect position.
