Brief Description:  An other irritant !

Saturday morning. By 7 AM, I'm in my garage, drilling holes on the fuselage skin. My compressor sounded a little quiter than usual. But it's comforting humming went along. Right before lunch time, the drama unfolded. The crankshaft end broke and the pulley fell on the ground. The motor suddenly turned very quietly .... Air supply left in the tank was 90 psi .... An incomprehensible broken shaft ! Even if on warranty (less than 3 years old !) how do you fix a compressor on a Saturday ! I was not happy but decided to go fly instead ... and my project went into a halt ! I do not know how long before it will be fixed ... we shall see that on Monday !
