The new countersink tool, which lets you countersink hole after hole to exactly the same depth, worked very well on this task.
I spent pretty much an entire day on this piece.
Nutplate Tip: put a small bolt through the nut plate to hold it in place while riveting. Also, put the second rivet in place before riveting the first one. Squeezing the rivet sometimes moves the nutplate and it is difficult to get the seocond rivet in the hole. Make sure the nutplate is tight against the part before riveting the second rivet. The first rivet could cause it to bend upward. Then you get a little marshmellow flaring of the rivet between the parts. Not good.
