Once again I’m following Matt B. by using his method for holding the static lines. The anchors are made of a small piece of scrap angle and a nut plate. I’ll rivet the anchors to the longeron between the F-708 and F-707 bulkheads.
I’m using the Van’s static port kit. It comes with two blind rivets to use as the ports. The directions say to set the rivet in the fuselage skin and then drive the mandrel out of the center of the rivet. After reading a post on Vans airforce, I decided to remove the mandrel before installing the port because it would leave more of the rivet on the inside of the fuselage for attaching the tubing. I then glued the rivet in place with RTV.
