Brief Description: Stiffeners and front spar of HS
Finished trimming all stiffeners for elevators. Next time (wing kit), use a saw or grinder for main bulk of trimming, go to belt sander if needed for intermediate, then the scotchbrite wheel. Could save a lot of time that way.
Got the front spar reinforcement and splice angles bent (HS-810, 814), as well as HS-702 front spar assembly. Had to file notch in HS-702 a little wider to keep space from forming in the bend. Messed up HS-404 front ribs when I notched them too wide. Need to call Vans and ask if it is critical. Looks workable, but not sure.
