Clamped bottom firewall stiffener in place. Aligned centerline, drilled & clecoed in place. Drilled and clecoed firewall side flange in place.
Spent a lot of time trying to sort out top stiffener and how to make sure that it was square and positioned correctly. I then found it was already pre-drilled!!! Clecoed in place. Checked for level and it was perfect!
Cut 520mm 'L' angle. Holes were pre-drilled in skin and upper stiffener. Clamped in place using some scrap 1x2's. Back drlled through pre-drilled holes. Clecoed in place.
Lined up side stiffeners to mark and trimmed tops. Flipped firewall front side down. Lined up side stiffeners using centerline and motor mount holes. Drilled and clecoed in place. Marked bottom and top overlap. Trimmed bottoms. Noticed that top stiffener is different than the one pictured in the photo assembly manual. Flange at motor mounts has been extended about 18mm apparently for extra strength.
