Brief Description:  Long lost update

The last entry was from mid-May. It's now October 6th. I've been away for awhile - busy summer at work and lots of other disctractions. I imagine other builders are familiar with this problem. Quick update.

After my last entry, I did build a couple of more ribs. Then I petered out for the summer.

I went to Oshkosh, saw the sights, was inspired by quite a few planes, and finally met Bill Scheunemann in person. Great guy. I'll have a separate entry about that.

Starting a couple of weeks ago, I felt the urge to get back into the shop. Started cleaning things up, putting away the bits from my other hobbies, and got ready to work.

I managed to break my four month old air compressor this summer. Penny, the 80 pound beast, managed to topple it. It fell and broke all of the valves and regulators. That's finally fixed. Another $112 spent on this project that will never end up in the plane.

After work tonight, I visted the shop and actually started to get to work again - then ran into another small hiccup I had forgotten about. The answer will get found tomorrow. So goes home-building.
