Brief Description: Finish pulling parts of the boards
Today Vicky and I (though mostly Vicky) finished pulling the parts of the parting boards. After four hours, EVERY SINGLE wood piece in the wing (including all spars and leading edges) is ready for final assembly. I mean every one... except the cap strips and they're all very even. Every ply doubler, every gusset, every piece of sheeting for the compression ribs, etc. Done. Have I mentioned how pleased I am will Bill Scheunemann's wing kit? I have? Let me state it again. The quality of wood and the level of finish provided is astounding.
The cost is the same as the wing kit sold by Steen but this kit includes the Super Stinker ailerons, Bill has added a rib, and the spacing is perfect on the ribs so there is no problem with interference with the drag/anti-drag wires.
Also, every hole in the spars and doublers is drilled and they're perfectly matched. The only holes not drilled are the drag/anti-drag holes. Once again, I'm very pleased. I know this will become tiresome but...
