Brief Description: HS Rivet skins to front spar web
Riveted with flush rivet set all the nose ribs to the skin using flush rivets. Need to drill out a couple of rivets, but in general fairly satisfied with the result Just a couple of rivets are not perfect, however i dont risk drilling them out and create a larger hole (i had to use a couple of oops-rivets). Riveted the skin to the front spar started from the inside and moving outside. A little bit difficult to drive some of the rivets, some scratching on the spar primer, but apparently not a big deal. There is a small gap between the spar flange and the skin and in some places a back light filters through. Problem highlighted by Lucio and i asked VANS technical support for advice. Response came very quickly from Gay Kayser indicating that the possible reason is too shallow countersinking (0.002 in, that is two clicks on the countersink cage), however Gary confirmed that this is not an issue and that it is not a big deal.
