Brief Description: Inventorying and sorting empennage kit parts
|
|
So the adventure begins!I originally placed my empennage kit with the electric elevator trim tab option order on 12/22/05, received my shipment on the 27th (what a nice Christmas present!), but didnt actually start inventorying the stuff until today. Four hours may seem like a lot of time for some simple inventorying, but I'm looking towards the future by zip-lock bagging the different hardware individually and labelling them. Months down the road, when I actually start construction, It'll sure save a lot of time finding the needed types of bolts/screws/rivets/etc. I plan on hanging the baggies on a pegboard in the Garage/Aircraft Construction Facility (ACF) for easy access.Construction will actually begin sometime in March or so as I still need to prepare the ACF by cleaning, getting rid of unnecessary stuff, building things like workbenches, and gathering tools and supplies. Why did I order now, so far in advance? Simply put, I wanted to avoid the yearly increase in kit prices.
