Brief Description:  Continue left HS

Lot of good time spent today on the left HS. Lots of clecoing and drilling! Putting on the skin was a real challenge solo and scratching the inside of the skin is really easy even though the ribs have been edge deburred. I'll have to spend some time polishing out the scratches. I finally enlisted the aid of my daughter in holding the skins separated when putting in those first leading edge clecoes. The fit is very tight and exact...nice computer-controlled punching!I made my first real mistake today. When match drilling the skins to the HS-405 rib I mistakenly drilled out to #30 two holes, instead of #40. You can see them in the 2nd image. Fortunately it is on the rear underside of the HS so it won't be noticeable (this will NOT be a Grandmaster Trophy winning project!), and even more fortunate, i will be able to use AD4 instead of AD3 rivets when final riveting the skin on so I won't need to order any replacement parts. The last image shows the left HS nearly ready for disassembly, final deburing and priming, and final reassembly and riveting. Just a few more holes to match drill. I will get those done, then go on to the right HS.
