Brief Description: lightening hole flanging die, 51 mm hole
Cut three 85mm disks from3/4" plywood with flycutter. Cut 0ne 50.5mm disk from 1/2" plywood with flycutter. Cut 51mm hole from center of one of the 85mm disks. Used router to form 45 degree bevel 8.5 mm deep on inside of 51mm hole. Glued one 85mm disk to disk with 45 degree bevel to create female die. Measured outer edge of bevel on female die. (66.5mm) Cut two 66.5 mm disks from 4mm plywood. Cut one 66.5 mm disc from 3/4 " plywood. Glued the two 4mm disks together creating a 8mm x 66.5mm disk. Screwed two 4mm disks(66mm) and one 3/4 " disks(66.5mm) together. Used 3/4" disk as guide for roller on 45 degree chamfer bit and formed 45 degree chamfer around 8mm disk. Unscrewed and discarded 3/4" x 66.5mm disk used as guide. Glued and screwed 3/4" x 85mm, 8mm chamfered disk and 1/2" x 50.5mm disk together to create male die.
