Brief Description:  Trim tab construction

Made 6 ea. trim tab clamping blocks out of 3/4" thick wood using template as shown.
Cut out 6 ea. trim tab ribs from foam blocks and template supplied in kit.
Masked inside of trim tab skins and scuffed areas where foam ribs will be bonded to skins.
Fabricated bending brake as instructed with 3/4" hardwood and used to finish trailing edge bend in both trim tab skins.
Used wedges left over from cutting out clamping blocks to clamp and bend both inboard and outboard closeout tabs of skins as indicated.
Clecoed spars in place and marked lower skin bend line for 15 deg. bend required.
Removed spars then using clamping blocks and seaming pliers made 15 deg. bend in lower skin of both trim tabs forward of spar.
Trimmed unused portion of trim tab horns as required per plans.
Clecoed spars and control horns in place then match drilled skins to spar and horns.
Dissassembled and de burred all parts.
Dimpled all holes in both skins and trim control horns.
Machine countersunk all holes in top flange of spars to leave a flat surface for mounting the trim tab hinge later.
