Finished opening up the recess, then proceeded with the lay-up. 2 X 25mm of bid is placed over the pip pinhole, after filling the corners with a Flox filet to prevent air bubbles. Next followed 2 ply’s of bid slowly making it fit over all the edges and onto the top skin with no wrinkles or with out cutting the cloth. Finally pealplyed onto the skin surface to get a smooth finish. The STBD tail plane is completed in the same way. Longer Pi Pins needed dew to thicknes of layup.
