While the fuselage was upside-down, I decided to make the access area for the servicing panel and the panel for the Gascolators, which will be hinged for easer access.
After the panels where cut out, a flange was made in the usual Europa way.
The cover are made from 4 ply’s of bib. The flat panes is simply laid up on a plastic sheet then cut to fit.
The curved panes took a little more time. I made a shape out of blue foam first. It was then covered with release tape and the 4 ply’s of bid laid on top, After cure it is trimmed to fit. The covers are put in place covered with release tape and the flanges created from the inside. After cure all is cut to shape and anchor nuts riveted to the flange.
This has all gone together very well and looks good.
