Got the Port & STBD trim tabs ready for laminating. As these are only small closeouts and lay-ups, I decided to do both at the same time. Prepared in the usual way, Dry Micro then slurry, put on one ply over the leading edge then a one ply over the root. On went the hinge reinforcing ply's, then the second layer of ply's I added peal ply to the overlap on the bottom surface and to the hinge areas. Just the close out on the tip of the trim tab to do later.Prepared and laminated the tips of both trim tabs. First I cut a small "v" around the edge then filled it with flox. I then placed on 2 Ply's of bid. This was the quickest layup I have completed !!!Friday 24th. March. 2006My aim is to do the closeout on the Port tailplane tomorrow, as I will have a little more time in the afternoon. So I spent some time today getting every thing ready as with the Port side. All read now.
