Per vans instructions I am building a sheet metal brake like diagram 5-5 to finish the bends on the rudder skin, the two elevator skins, and the trim tab. I had a scrap piece of 2 x 8 laying around the shop, so my trip to the local aircraft supply store, (Home Depot) was to get a 2 x 8 x 6 and four hinges. I cut the smaller piece to 52" and the other I added 3 inches to each end so I would be able to clamp it to the table.
Hinges were spaced out and 1-1/4 inch lag screws were used to fasten them to the boards. Lastly, two handles were cut from a 2 x 2 and screwed on to apply some leverage.
