Brief Description:  Work benches, shelving and tools

A little about me: I made it up through my Instrument and Commercial after my Private. Then I thought ok I'll buy an airplane, hmm. Ok I'll buy an airplane co-ownership, oohh oohh, 40-50 year old plane...ugh No, Don't get me wrong I love old planes. Broken radio's, go slow buy lots of gas. Lets see, Ok buy old fast airplane, retactable gear and even more gas and big annuals. Man there has to be a way to keep doing what I love,( flying). Have a fast airplane that can go far and pull G's and not ancient.

Flying clubs renting didn't work for me anymore, one partialy blown engine, one broken attitude indicator in IMC and finally a broken squat switch on a 182 R.G. (hand pump the gear down).
It all ended up ok. But I was done with that stuff.

So I sat on my duff for three years and looked up every time a plane flew by. You know you can't just give up flying it just doesn't work that way. You know you can get sick, from not flying.

My O'l flying buddy Dave who fly's old retired fighter jets, said bud what you need to do is build yourself a new plane. Spark, bang boom, the Ford light came on. I said man you are so right.
He said I know a plane that would be perfect for you, a Glasair. Well I checked it out on-line. Being that I work as a HVAC Engineer and built race bikes and Dirt track Modified cars, basically been around wrenching all my life, I knew at that exact moment that's what I was going to do. But it wasn't going to be a Glasair ( one hell of nice plane) I don't like working with fiber... you see I like to smoke really good cigars in my shop when I am working on stuff. I don't enjoy the fumes or the epoxy type medium and I don't want to blow the house up.

Ok so now we know how I got onto the RV 7 project.

I orderd my Empennage Kit in Sep 2. after ordering and reviewing the "preview set" of plans and it looked great. Oh I also orderd the tool set from Plane Tools (Isham) I got the big set. There great people. I started clecoing stuff together now I am on it.
