Brief Description:  Preparing and installing windows

We initially installed the two sky lights, the side window and the baggage window at the rear. Firstly the area where the window is to fit needed to be rubbed back to the original fiber glass and remove any paint. Then the window needed to fit snuggly and hence the window itself need to be be rubbed back in areas to fit. Then the window and area to be fitted was mast with tape. The first application was the Primer 209 which was applied to both surfaces and cured for 24 hours. The next day the windows were put in place with spaces to get the right gap. Holes were drilled around the window area (Image 2) to secure the cleco's. Then the messy fun began using Sikalex - 295uv in black on both the window and frame and pushed together...secured in place with cleco's. All excess was smeared and cleaned.
