Brief Description: Wires in order and checking inside the wing
Before we closed the wing and started riveeting the top skin we ensured every thing was correct, tight and split pins in place. We fabricated brackets and ensured all the electricals were tucked away and secured. We checked to make sure the fuel pump was working and all fuel lines were layed out correctly. We then used over 100 cleos and fixed the top skin as a test to ensure it all fitted correctly before we started rivetting. Luck was on our side as my wife Jude turned up as a surprise visit, to give a final inspection......don't know what we would have done without her expert advice.......Jude was happy and said we could seal up the wings.........she's looking forward to having the very first flight....lol
Geoff Wood from the Gawler Flying Club who is currently building his third plane dropped in and visited us to day. He had a look at the inside of the wings before we closed them. He said our progress was good offering us some valubale advise on closing the wings at ground level.
