Firstly we had to remove the primer from the fuselage where the strakes would be fixed. The strakes are bonded with resin/mill fibre and clecos to hold them tighly against the side of the fuselage. Fibreglass cloth was then fixed on both sides which lapped onto the fuslage and the strakes. After the strips of fibreglass cured we sanded them to acheive a a smooth fillet between the strake and the fuselage. Any low spots or holes in the leading edge were filled with body filler and sanded.
