Probably one of the hardest things is when you need to trim the strut ....you need to ensure you don't cut to much off. (Boy, would I hate to ring up Glasair in USA to organise a replacement strut. Looking at the construction of these struts I would think after freight, you might be up for an additional $2,000 per strut if you got it wrong) Hence Peter Koald measured and trimmed the strut in three different stages. Eventually we got it right to ensure when you lifted the wing to line up the jig correctly, the wing strut fitted perfectly. We then placed the two bolts into the wing strut.
