Unfortunatley we had two goes at riveting the vertical fin spar. Darren being a bit of a perfectionist was not happy on the left side and decided to take out every rivet and do them again. This time we placed a small amount of Q-cell in between the left side and ensured he used a lot of cleco's. He changed is appplication method and was very happy with the end result.

The q-cell “bedding” will make the flanges of the spar match the fiberglass perfectly. I cant really see the gap you are talking about in the pictures real well so that must mean they are very small. Your structural integrity will be intact.
