Brief Description: Installing Rivets & Bolts in Tail Section of Aft F
Worked on installing the remaining AN3 bolts in the Y tail structure, tail wheel mount, and aft shear web bracket. Continued riveting aft structure. For access reasons this is the sequence that I riveted and bolted the components together: Y tail tail post, bolts installed on y tail brackets, placed shear web but it was the last thing to rivet for access purposes. Installed bolts on aft vertical web/tail wheel fwd bracket. Then riveted aft vertical web, riveted aft upper 5 rivets on skin/longerons and finally riveted aft shear web you see in the third pic.
I do have to replace a couple of rivets in the aft verical web seen in the top of the second pic. I did not get the riveter square with the web surface and I can catch my fingernail underneath the head of the rivet. Not a big deal. I'll do that tomorrow.
